We had a great time down in Port Grimaud last week and the weather was very hot. Its a beautiful place and the beaches are gorgeous. The campsite was very busy and so was the beach but it didn't spoil it. We stayed in a Mobile Home which was small but you are not in them for long, just sleeping really. We caught a boat across to St Tropez to see how the "other half live"!!!I took the picture below because we were so amazed that it had its own helicopter.

Port Grimaud itself is a beautiful little place with all inlets running through it between the houses and restaurants. We ate some gorgeous food along with some good wine, infact the girls are now hooked on "moules marinere", they had them most nights!!!

We arrived back to good weather too in Le Loissel, infact its being in the 30's for the past week. On Wednesday I went into hospital to have the pins removed from my knee that I had operated on over 9 years ago. The surgeon said it would be a little op, but I've been in agony ever since and need crutches. He said I cannot do much for the next 2-3 weeks!!!!
Work is commencing beginning of Aug to make the chalet fully en-suite. We are looking forward to getting it finished.

We have built another terrace at the back of our house so we can sit in the sun until 9pm now.Its pretty high and has got the view of the mountains all the way round. When my knee is back to normal we will be having the neighbours round to christen it!!!We will be going to "Chez Marie" soon, the restaurant with its own pool. You have lunch in the garden and they have a little pool to use after. Its got a beautiful garden.

Jonny is walking the "Tour de Mont Blanc" this week, or he is as long as my knee is ok.He has been doing plenty of training for it and will be away 5 nights. Its 107km in total and they are camping on the mountain on a night.Frank , the mountain guide from Ste foy has asked if he wants to do the Matterhorn too this summer!!!

Anyway must close as Mick and the lads have just arrived back to the chalet after a day out mountain biking, they take the lifts up from Les Arcs 1600 and were going over to Peisey Nancroix today, so will see how they have gone on. Write again soon.

We've had gorgeous weather since last time I wrote so we have been making the most of it and going down to the lake and having a few BBQ's.The snow on the tops of the mountains is disappearing fast and the Col de petit St Bernard, over in to Italy finally opened, the other week.We decided to drive over there with the girls and took a picnic. It was very impressive at the top with the snow about 25m high in some parts at the side of the road. This is a picture we took as we were driving over!!!

We had a picnic at the side of the river and the temperatures were late 20's.There were lots of motorbikes about with it being one of the first days of opening and of course lots of cyclists too.

We have started doing work to the chalet at the back, making another terrace and then we want a higher decking so we can have the sun right through until about 9pm. Jonny has arranged for some fairy lights to be put up around the roof line so its all coming together. We have been using the hot tub in the last couple of weeks as we don't get much time to in the winter.

I have been helping out at Anneha's school with the swimming trips and outings they have been going on.Next year there will be only 11 children in the whole school, as 4 leave this year to go to secondary school. She is also getting a new teacher.Ffion can start School in Ste Foy in September. That will seem really strange.

Jonny is working hard for us on the chalet and then also some plastering jobs for other chalets. We are going down to Port Grimaud near St Tropez for a week in July so all looking forward to that.
We had a lovely time with Phil and Helen when they came over and the boys did plenty of mountain biking.
Jonny is walking the "tour de Mont Blanc" in July with Steve Fry, when they come over. Hes trying to get fit for it at the minute.
Thats it for now but will write again soon.

Well we are back from the Uk, after nearly 4 weeks for me and the girls. Jonny came back after 2 weeks as he wanted to do some ski-touring and stay in huts overnight, as well as get on with other jobs that needed doing. We had a great time catching up with family and friends, it went so quick.Sorry if I didn't get to see everyone but you know what its like, always hectic.
We have arrived back to a beautiful green valley, although the 2 Cols (passes) are still not open due to too much snow. That just shows how much we had this season as normally they are open by now.The weather has been lovely since last week with temperatures around 26/28 degrees. We have been to a couple of BBQ's and down to the lake.We took this picture the other day to show how green things have got.

All the neighbours are sorting their gardens out and looking after their flowers. Must do mine at some stage.
Anneha is back to school today so we can get back into a routine. The plans are in to hopefully make the alterations to the chalet so we can be fully en-suite for next season.Fingers crossed!!
Jonny's touring went well and they had a great time .Below are a couple of photos from the trip.

Well must close as Anneha is due home anytime , will write again soon. Please remember we are open during the summer self catered, you can book the whole chalet for only £400pw or we will do a nightly rate. The Tignes Glacier is open in July and August for summer skiing(only 25 mins from us)!!!!!!
